    Michael Wongler, Sr., 67, passed away June 4, 2021, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL.

    He was born November 16, 1953 in Booneville, IN  to Leo and Pearl (nee Keith) Wongler.

    Michael married Cynthia Dickens of Collinsville, IL in February of 2013.

    He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a retired Custodian at Collinsville Unit 10 School District.   Michael had a love for fishing, boating and spending time with family and friends.

    Michael is survived by his wife, Cynthia; children, Gary (Kelly) Wongler, Michael Wongler, Jr., Danny (Crystal) Wongler, Brandon (Tiffany) Cline; grandchildren, Haily, Logan, Torie, Cameron, Landon, Rose, Riley, Crystal Rose, Mallory and Julian; brothers, Buster, Ronnie, Donnie, Terry, Jerry, Steve and John; sisters, Charlotte, Mary and Lisa; numerous nieces and nephews.

    Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

    Visitation:  Wednesday, June 9, 2021, from 10:00-11:00am, Kassly-Meridith Funeral Home, Collinsville, IL.

    My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this sad and difficult time. I taught at Collinsville High School while Gary and Mike were students there and taught at Kreitner while Mike Sr. was working there. Such a small world sometimes. Some good memories from all of you.
