      Frank Gabriel, 81, of St. Jacob, IL, passed away Monday, May 3, 2021 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.

      Frank was born, June 22, 1939, in East St. Louis, IL to Frank Gabriel and Rose (nee Wedneski) Gabriel-Crepps. He married Peggy Miller in August of 1958 at Brother Redman’s Church in East St. Louis, IL, and they were married for over 62 years.

      Frank was a Veteran of the United States Navy.  He was also a Pastor for over 30 years.

      The best Family-man; he always helped everyone, and was a great Dad to his seven children, and a wonderful Granddad.  He loved to fix up old cars, enjoyed riding motorcycles, and was known to never sit still.  Frank was also an avid dog lover.

      Frank was preceded in death by his father, Frank Gabriel; mother, Rose Crepps; siblings, Jack Gabriel, Tommy Gabriel, Pat McKenney, Larry Gabriel, Mike Gabriel.

      He is survived by his wife, Peggy Gabriel; children, Frank (Candy) Gabriel, Jr., Trina (Bret) Mantia, David (Heather) Gabriel, Darren (Beth) Gabriel, Phyllis (Charlie Votava) Gabriel, Dennis Gabriel, Jeff (Leah) Gabriel; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

      Services are private.

      Rev. Frank Gabriel, our dear Friend, Pastor, Brother in the LORD JESUS! Of many years! FAMILY! Loved and respected him dearly! He lived what he preached, was who he was, trust worthy, loved the WORD OF GOD! A good spiritual counselor. He fought a long good fight of Faith and WON his REWARD:) Resting n sweet Jesus! Will miss him greatly, thankful for the precious memories:)! Don’t close the door behind you Bus, we aren’t far behind!!!
