    Jack D. Giberson, MSGT, USAF, Ret'd, 78, of Lebanon, IL died May 23, 2007 at his residence.  He was born in Stockport, Iowa on August 3, 1928 to Marvin and Christina (Overlander) Giberson, both deceased.  He married Faye D. Holmes on August 28, 1949 in the Lutheran Church, Fairfield, Iowa, and she survives.

    He is also survived by two daughters, Geri (Gary) Seitz of Belleville, IL; Connie (Jim) Smith of Lebanon; six grandchildren, Tina (Daniel) Richardson, Belleville; Zack Seitz, Belleville; Lori (Larry) Townley, Lebanon; Liz Smith, Lebanon: five great grandchildren, Torri Richardson, Steven Townley, Dakota Townley, Nathan Townley, Ayden Mackey; Several nieces and nephews; one brother, George (Sandy) Murray, Keosauqua, IA; two sisters, Ruth Remick, Aquawka, IL; and Janet Keefer, Great Plains, IL.

    Jack retired in 1967 from the U.S. Air Force after more than 20 years.  He was a cryptographer in the Communication Squadron  for the Air Force.  After his retirement he worked as a mail carrier, then started Giberson Tech Supply Co. in Lebanon where he worked 30 years.

    He was a member of the Lebanon Lodge #110 A.F.&A.M. and the VFW.

    Visitation:  Tuesday, May 29, 2007 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, May 30th from 8:00 - 11:00 A.M. at the Meyer Funeral Home. 

    Funeral Wednesday, May 30 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Donald Wagner, Pastor of St. Paul UCC, Lebanon, IL officiating.

    Interment in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO with full Military honors.
