Ron Davis was one of the finest people I ever met. He was always concerned with his fellow man! He was so unselfish ! The world is a better place because of Ron.
My sympathy to all his family and friends.

I worked with Ron for many years at Jackson County DHS. Ron was probably the kindest, most caring man that I have ever met. He never had an unkind thing to say about anyone. He loved everyone equally and he was loved in returned. Ron was so much more than a co-worker, he was a friend, an inspiration and will never be forgotten.
Along with his superior qualities as a human he always took his “tennis game” seriously. As the work day would end, Ron would dash off and shortly return in his “tennis attire” and racquet in hand. I admired his tenacity and dedication to the game…even if I secretly snickered at his knobby knees poking out from under his shorts. 🙂
    Rest easy Ron!

Rosie I’m sorry for your loss. He is in heaven with my mom. She passed away last year June 8, 2020. I rented from Ron a couple of times and him and mom worked together. He was a very very nice man. You and your family will be in my prayers.

Back in the early 70s, the tennis courts behind Murphysboro HS, was (I have no doubt) one of the cosmic centers of the known universe. The players who showed up were the .most eclectic group ever.

Every evening Ronnie would show up on his motorcycle, with his Wilson T2000 and a newspaper in the saddle bag.. Ronnie was known far and wide for his digery doo serve and infectious laugh. I like to think Ronnie and Ted Bradley just lobed one over the Pautler brothers to win a set.

I remember Ron as a great guy and good tennis player. I got to play lots of tennis with him in the 70s and 80s. He was always at the courts, I remember him playing with a Harry C Lee “Bat” racket given to him by Ted Bradley. Ron, Dennis Neiman, and Don Garver helped me to be a good tennis player. As Lee Shafer said. I can see him and Ted Bradley together on the tennis courts again. Rosie, he was a great guy. I am glad I knew him.
