Dorothy LaDonna Lambrich, 86, of Cisne, Illinois passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Flora Gardens Care Center in Flora, Illinois.

Dorothy was born September 27, 1934 in Clark County, Illinois to Clayton ‘Bud’ and Nettie Inez (Brandenburg) Merrick and was raised in Wayne County, Illinois. She married Wallace Dean Lambrich October 29, 1965 at the Brick Church near Mt. Erie, Illinois and he survives.

Dorothy graduated from Cisne High School in 1952.  She worked at the high school as secretary until she married Dean and then moved to the Pekin and then the Delavan area for several years.  She babysat many children in the area.  Later, she became secretary for Calvary Baptist Church of Tremont and, also was head cook for Blessed Hope Camp ministry at the church for many years.  In 1988, she and Dean moved back to the Cisne area.  She then started her love of quilting and hand quilted over 200 quilts.  She was a member at Calvary Baptist Church in Flora, Illinois when she passed from this life.  Dorothy loved the Lord and loved sharing her Savior to others often.  We will miss her dearly, but know she is with the Lord that she loved to tell others about. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend.

Dorothy is survived by her husband Dean Lambrich of Cisne, Illinois; two daughters Mary (David) Lusk of Tucson, Arizona and Tamera Lambrich Lane of Clay City, Illinois, a son Ivan (Mary Lou) Lambrich of Pekin, Illinois; a sister Billie Farmer of Fairfield, Illinois; six grandchildren, Amanda Springer, Robert Springer, Jarod (Lindsay) Lambrich, Jennifer (Dustin) Hoofman, Kimberly Lusk and Megan (Eric) Eckmann, and six great grandchildren Malerie, Mason, Harper, Teagan, Paisley, and Riley.  Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceding her in death were her parents, two sisters Mary (Jim) Riddle and Jackie (Lowell) Atteberry, one brother Bob (Jewell) Merrick, and brother-in-law Eldon Farmer.

A private graveside service will be at Brown Cemetery near Mt. Erie, Illinois.  There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church at Flora, Illinois and will be accepted at Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home.

My dear Aunt Dorothy, i have so many fond memories of you growing up. You were always so sweet and kind to us 4 girls and our mama. Tho there will be many who will miss you down here, I am sure there was a great big celebration when you entered those gates of heaven. Almost like another Lambrich family reunion. I know we will meet again, please give my mom, dad, and Cindy a big hug from me. Your legacy lives on here with your sweet husband, children, and grandchildren. I will pray for peace and comfort for all of them. But I know you will be looking out after them as well. You are so loved and will be missed. Love you sweet lady, till we meet again! Cathy

Miss Dorothy was such a kind and loving woman. Every child that knew her called her granny. She spent years rocking babies in the church nursery.
