Jennifer, I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom used to come to Donner to visit every year. My mother, Felo Toups, was her godmother. Gladys was my godmother. As a child our family visited Aunt Tee and Uncle Louis very often. I have a lot of good memories of the time we spent there. You and your family are in my prayers.

I’m truly sorry for your loss Jennifer. Your mom and my oldest sister were best friends many years ago. When I was very young, I used to go over to Mrs Gladys house when your grandpa still owned the lil store attached to the house they all loved in. We lived with my grandma on lebouf st. I used to have to go with you grandma on the bus when she went to New Orleans just in case she had a seizure. I’ve lost touch with your mom when I left New Orleans way back in the late 80’s. I’ve been searching for her on Facebook, but with no luck. I decided today to Google her name and found this. Not what I wanted to see, so sad now. Your mom was a fun life loving person. I know she will be missed by many.
