    Ray Daughenbaugh, 79, of Wilmington, Illinois formerly of the Rinard area passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Kindred Care Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.

    Ray was born in Flora, Illinois on July 12, 1941 to Jubal Cecil and Lola Novella (Miller) Daughenbaugh.

    Ray was employed at Ropers in Bradley, Illinois, for many years as a factory worker. He enjoyed doing arts and crafts, making toys and fishing. He loved to go to Vegas and was always, Very Lucky, and enjoyed meeting people. Ray was also an Avid Trump Supporter. He served in the Army and was stationed in Korea. He was a member of the American Legion Post #14, trustee of Flora Eagles for many years and was also a proud member of the NRA. Ray was baptized at Gunion Christain Church in Cisne, Illinois.

    He is survived by three sons, Ray Jr. (Ruth) Daughenbaugh of North Port, Florida, Jim (Jody) Daughanbaugh of Essex, Illinois, and Jeff (Amanda) Daughenbaugh of Bradley, Illinois; one sister, Kay Perry, of Flora, Illinois; two brothers, Gene (Beverly) Daughenbaugh of Danville, Illinois, Gary Daughenbaugh of Forsyth, Missouri; five grandchildren, Cody (Tiffany) Daughenbaugh, Aaron, Tyler, and Ben Daughenbaugh and Alaina White; seven great-grandchildren, Johnathon, Noah, Jace, Veda, and Lucas Daughenbaugh, Weston and Addison White.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, John, three brothers Karl, Vern and Bud Daughenbaugh, two sisters Iva Garrison and Joan Baldridge.

    Visitation: Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 10:00 am till 12:00 pm at the Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home, Cisne, IL.

    Funeral: 12:00 pm, Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home, Cisne, IL.

    Burial will follow at Bunker Cemetery in Rinard, Illinois, with Military rites at the graveside

    Family request that Memorials be given to Donor’s Choice. Memorial may be mailed to Hosselton-Meridith Funeral home at PO Box 418 Cisne, Illinois 62823 or dropped off at the funeral home.

    Due to Covid-19, face masks must be worn, and social distancing is mandatory.

    I am so thankful that I got to visit with him after not seeing him sense 1963
    I was a kid and he was a neighbor working on his car and was so interesting.

    I am so sorry to hear about Ray, we had a lot of laughs at Pauly Gibson Auctions when he lived in Flora. He was a funny man. God Bless your family.
