    John Clark Clodfelter age 54 of Parkersburg, IL passed from this life to his heavenly home on Monday December 7, 2020 at his residence on the family farm near Parkersburg.

    He was born March 14, 1966 to Raymond and Verity (Stevens) Clodfelter on the family farm near Pakersburg, IL.

    John was a faithful member of Elm Street Christian Church in Olney, IL and especially enjoyed his small church group family.   John had worked in home health care and at Champion Laboratories.

    After his first experience with cancer, he became involved in Relay for Life.

    He is survived by 7 siblings: Bernard (Marian) Clodfelter of Parkersburg, Mildred (Lester) Brooks of Ogden IL, Louise Daniel, Parkersburg, Eva (Albert) McCracken of Cisne, IL, Edwin (Carolyn) Clodfelter of Parkersburg, Edna (Jerry) Fletcher of Sumner, IL and Clara Biehl of Bridgeport, IL. and many nieces and nephews.

    John was preceded in death by his parents.

    Memorials are encouraged to Richland County Relay for Life.

    A drive through visitation service will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday December 9, 2020 at Oak Hill Cemetery Parkersburg, IL followed by a graveside service at 2 p.m.

    Per CDC guidelines we encourage you  to wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines.

    John has attended every class reunion since graduating from high school.

    John was a very friendly, outgoing person with a genuine heart of gold. Even back in high school he would dance for anyone, anytime, earning the name “Disco John.” He was always happy and never knew a stranger.He will always be remembered. Rest in eternal peace John.🙏❤

    We, Elm Street Christian Church Small Group, enjoyed John’s sincere heart and strong faith, which he demonstrated especially well in the last few weeks. We will miss our brother. We are praying for the family and friends.

    John was a great guy, Riding the school bus with him growing up and then working with him at Champion Laboratories. I’m praying for the family.
