      Charles Robert “Charlie” Brant, age 77 of Albion, IL passed from this life to the next on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at his home.

      Charlie was born July 23, 1943 in Olney IL to Charles and Virginia (Mills) Brant.

      He was an Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam war.

      In 1965 he married Jeri Friend.

      Charlie was a member of the Mt Carmel Eagles and Albion American Legion.  He worked at Champion Laboratories for many years.   He loved his grandkids, his dog and a good cigar.

      He is survived by his wife Jeri of Eldorado IL, three daughters: Tina (Melvin) Goldman of Eldorado,  Dawn (Tim) Banks of Mt Carmel IL , Kathy Brant of Marion, IL, one son Danny (Cindy) Brant of Manchester, TN, 12 grandchildren and many great and great-great grands.

      Charlie was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Barbara Tharp and Beverly Helton.

      Cremation rights have been accorded and military rites will be held on the front lawn of Ingram Meridith Funeral Home in Albion at 11 a.m. on Saturday November 14, 2020. Guests are reminded that due to current Covid-19 stringent restrictions the building will not be available, and attendees are asked to congregate on the front lawn.

      Memorials are encouraged to the Animal Shelter Buddies Wabash County.  Envelopes will be available at the service.

      Charles Robert and I was one month in age difference and we grew up together! He is my first cousin and I have lots of great memories of Aunt Virginia; Charles Robert, Beverly and Barbara!

      My heartfelt condolences go out to each member of the family!

      I only got to meet Uncle Charlie once but he certainly left an impression. He had some great people waiting to greet him. I know my grandmother (Bev) loved him dearly and would welcome him with open arms. My thoughts and prayers are with my family there in Illinois those I have had the pleasure of meeting and those that I haven’t
