      Frank Shearer Pixley age 87 of West Salem, IL passed from this life to the next on June 29,2020 at Oak View Nursing and Rehab in Mt. Carmel IL.

      He was born on November 21, 1932 to W. Ray and Pauline (Shearer) Pixley in West Salem, IL. He married Connie Wajrowski on August 18, 1957 in Chicago, IL and she survives

      Frank was a Veteran and worked as a dairy farmer.

      He is survived by his wife of 62 years Connie of West Salem; one daughter, Karel Pixley of West Salem; three sons: Jeff Pixley of West Salem, Kevin (Sue) Pixley of Mt. Carmel IL and Greg (Kim) Pixley of Chrisney, IN; four grandchildren: Nick, Josh, Jake and Ben; one sister, Bertha Madison of Detroit, MI; one sister in law, Mary Pixley of Queens, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

      Frank was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Victor; and three sisters, Clara Pixley, Alice Koenecke and Lorene Pixley.

      A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 3, 2020 at 11 a.m at Lick Prairie Cemetery.

      Military rites will be conducted at the graveside.

      As a teenager I remember very well of Frank & Connie and Duane & Nadine Smith teaching our youth group how to square dance…oh what fun.
