      Connie Lucille Luthe, age 64 of rural West Salem, IL passed from this life to the next on April 8, 2020 at her home.
      Connie was born on August 29, 1955 in Olney to Kenneth and Lucille (Knackmuhs) Giese.
      On January 6, 1974 she married Michael “Mike” Luthe at the Zion United Methodist Church in West Salem.
      Connie played the piano and organ for the Zion United Methodist Church for many years where she was also a life long member. She achieved her Masters Degree from Eastern Illinois University while working and raising two small children. She worked as a supervisor for the Department of Children and Family Services where she helped countless children and families. In her retirement, Connie enjoyed traveling and going to concerts.
      She was preceded in death by her parents, son Benjamin, brother Bill Giese and brother-in-law George Luthe.
      She is survived by her husband, Mike of rural West Salem, daughter Megan (Jason) Hunter and granddaughter, Katelyn, all of Mahomet, IL, and sister Susan Giese of West Salem.
      In keeping with Connie’s wishes, cremation will be accorded and a private graveside service will be held at a later date at Little Wabash Cemetery.
      Memorials are encouraged to the Little Wabash Cemetery Fund and may be mailed to the funeral home: 241 West Main, Albion, IL 62806.

      Connie was my caseworker from 2014-2018 and the only one that never gave up on me ..I’m now finding out my life was hard do to never being diagnosed with adhd with austim..intell now ..she was a per Saint to deal with a undiagnosed child who seemed like nothing was e er going to fix me..I was just about to contact her today when I saw this..my heart is broken 🙁
