    Martin Wayne Greatline, 55, of Albion, Illinois, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2019, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana surrounded by his family.

    He was born December 26, 1963 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Stanley and Wilma Greatline.

    He married Angela Adams September 1, 1988 at the First Christian Church in West Salem, Illinois. They have four children, Remington, Alaina, Landon and Audrey.

    Martin co-owned with his wife Magnalinea Corporation, established in 1996. He held two patents related to agriculture. Prior to developing his business which provided engineering leadership in the operation of an engineering service firm, he was a contract engineer for several companies, including Cummins Inc., Columbus, Indiana; Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, Indiana; TRW, Inc., Marshall, Illinois; Rockwell Collins, Inc., Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Midwest Technologies, Inc., Springfield, Illinois; Martin Mariette Corporation, Denver, Colorado; Simmonds Precision Electronics, Vergennes, Vermont; and McDonnell Aircraft, St. Louis, Missouri. While employed with McDonnell Aircraft, he was given a special assignment to translate customer requirements into hardware and software design documents which result in full scale development of Joint Tactical Information Distribution System. He was also responsible for verification of system requirements via operation of F-15 flight simulator in multi-aircraft scenario for review by Air Force personnel and acted as Liaison to the Pentagon in some matters associated with the JTIDS equipment.

    Throughout his career in engineering and engineering management, his experience included development of digital and analog circuits, systems and software.

    He held a private pilot’s license and was an avid unmanned aerial vehicle operator and loved to share his hobby with his family. He was also a member of the Amateur Radio Relay League.

    He was a 1982 graduate of Edwards County High School in Albion. He attended Wabash Valley College and earned his Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Champaign, Illinois, and his Master's of Science in Electrical Engineering at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Illinois.

    He is survived by his mother, Wilma Greatline of Albion, his wife Angela and their four children; a sister, Melony Greatline-Sacopulos, Terre Haute, IN, and many other family members.

    He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley, and grandparents Elbert and Mary Koenecke Greatline, and Malcolm and Ruth Hocking Mason.

    Visitation will be Thursday, October 31, 2019 from 5 - 7 p.m. at Ingram-Meridith Funeral Home in Albion, Illinois. Services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, November 1, 2019 at the Ingram-Meridith funeral home in Albion, Illinois with burial to follow in the Moravian Cemetery in West Salem, Illinois.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made for the children’s continuing education and envelopes will be available at the service.
