Martha Kyles, 88, of Lebanon, IL, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2019, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, O’Fallon, IL.

Martha was born March 10, 1931, to Charlie and Luxie (nee Johnson) Kyles  in Perdue Hill, AL.

She was a member of Delaware Street Missionary Baptist Church in Mobile, AL.  She worked as a custodian for Mobile County Board of Education for over 50 years.  Martha enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers.  She was a great cook known for her wonderful southern friend chicken and pound cakes.  Most of all, she enjoyed the company of her family.  She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her four children: Erma Lee(Gregory) Cole of Lebanon, IL, Erma Jean Williams of Joliet, IL, Charles Kyles of Mobile, AL, and Calvin Kyles of Monroeville, AL; sister: Mary Laffitte of Monroeville, AL; godson: John Bernard Tunstall; god daughters: Rhuhaiminimia Laffitte and Nawetta Kyser, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Charlie and Luxie Kyles; six brothers: Willie, Robert, Cornett, Foster, Samuel, and Charles Kyles; and sister: Ella Tunstall.
