    Theodore L. “Ted” Mitchell, 75, of Lebanon, IL died Thursday, November 22, 2018, at his home.

    Ted was born December 4, 1942, to Earl and Nina (Nee Lyons) Mitchell, in Hecker, IL. On October 20, 1981 he married Barbara Jane Votrain in Belleville, IL.

    He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Lebanon, IL and Mason’s and Shriner’s.

    Ted loved his family and has missed his wife of 36 years since she passed last year. He enjoyed his yardwork, camping, fishing and travelling. One of his favorite trips was the drive out to Alaska with his wife pulling the camper. He owned and operated Mitchell Insulation then worked at General Motors for 35 years.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Nina Mitchell; his wife, Barbara Jane Mitchell; son, Charles Mitchell, in infancy; brothers and sisters, John, Paul and Jim Mitchell, Katherine Berrong, Margie Mitchell, in infancy, Nina “Mickey” Lowry; and his fur baby, Maggie.

    Ted is survived by his daughters, Patricia Mitchell, St. Charles, MO, Terri Mitchell, St. Charles, MO, Pam (Bruce) Koester, Lebanon, IL, Karen (Scott) Christ, Lebanon, IL; brothers, Gail (Vera) Mitchell, Fairview Hts, IL, Jerry Mitchell, Ocala, FL; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

    Memorials may be made to Masonic Lodge 504, Fairview Hts, IL or American Diabetes Association.
