    MEGAN NICOLE YOUNG, 38, of Salem, Illinois, passed away on September 27, 2018, at her residence.

    Megan was born on December 17, 1979, in Centralia, IL, to Richard Eugene and Kathy June (Shelton) Young.

    Megan had been a secretary for Country Financial, State Farm, and Frontier Community College. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Flora, IL and was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. She enjoyed scrapbooking, cross stitching, watching movies and she especially enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews and family.

    Megan is survived by her parents Richard and Kathy of Cisne; one brother, Jeremy (Olivia) Young of Salem, her grandma, Lula Young of Fairfield, IL ; Aunt Karen Watson of Salem, nieces, Kate and Kara Young and nephews, Levi and Luke Young all of Salem, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

    She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Paul and Loreta Shelton and Marion Young.

    Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 2:00pm at Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home in Cisne. A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 5-7pm at the funeral home.

    Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society for breast cancer research.

    I always enjoyed visiting with Megan when she would come into Produce Plus in Salem when I worked there. I always looked forward to our visits. She was always beaming about her nieces and nephews. Such a kind soul. I pray she is at peace. Praying for peace and comfort for her family. May God wrap his arms around those who are hurting!

    I am so sorry for your loss. I hope that you can find comfort and God’s promise found at John 5:28, 29. It says that there is going to be a resurrection! So God promises to bring our loved ones back to life. I hope that you all can find some comfort in your time of grief.

    I am so very sorry for your loss. I couldn’t believe it when I heard about Megan. She was a beautiful young lady and I will always remember her smile. I would speak to her at length each time i ran into her. I pray that God will hold you in his arms and comfort you during this time and the many days to come. I love you guys and will be thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers.
