Sherri Wendt, 73, of Highland, IL, died Thursday, July 12, 2018, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Breese, IL
Sherri was born December 26, 1944, to Alfred and Carol (nee Conklin) Froningin Belle Plaine, IA. On July 13, 1981 she married David Wendt in Winona, MN.
Sherri worked as an EMT while she was going to college and raising 3 kids. During her career as a social worker, she especially enjoyed doing adoption placement. Sherri had an incredible love of flowers and also worked as a florist. She enjoyed going to the Bix Festival in the Quad cities and was very entertaining. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, David Wendt, Highland, IL; children, Rod (Kim) Musel, Johnson Creek, WI, Trenton (Debi) Musel, St. Jacob, IL, Angelique Musel, Camanche, IA; grandchildren, Jacob (Kelsey) Musel, Kathryn (fiancé, Kenny Danz) Musel, Zachary Musel, Morgan (Seth) Kaiser, Alexander Musel, Brittany (Raymond) Balfour, Austin Musel, Carissa Musel; great grandchildren, five; sisters, Sue (Bill) Jakubsen, Savannah, GA, Dr. Jill Froning, Chapel Hill, NC; aunt, Jenny Conklin, Belle Plaine, IA; nephews, Jason Jakubsen, and Lance (Marian) Jakubsen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Carol Froning.
Private services will be held.
Interment: Clinton Memorial Cemetery, Clinton, IA, at a later date.
