Hannelore “Lore” Fulbright, 88, of Highland, IL died Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at her residence.

Lore was born August 24, 1929, in Bavaria, Germany.

Lore grew up in Germany during a very tumultuous time. She lost 2 brothers and many, many friends in WW2. As Lore was fluent in English, she was employed after the war as an interpreter working for the U.S. Army where she met the love of her life. After meeting Leo Fulbright, a U.S. soldier, they enjoyed a long married life of 69 years. Although Lore missed Germany, she became a proud U.S. Citizen in 1958. Lore enjoyed knitting, crocheting and quilting. She was raised Catholic and later changed to the Baptist faith. She was very dedicated to her family and was always there when needed. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Leo W. Fulbright, Highland, IL; sons, Leo L. Fulbright, Columbia, IL, David L. (Kim) Fulbright, Edwardsville, IL; grandchildren, Benjamin G. (Angela) Fulbright, Erica H. Fulbright.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert, Erwin and Tony; and a sister, in infancy.

Memorials may be made to the Donor’s Choice.
