Marlene E. “Sis” (nee Nungesser) Goestenkors, 84 of Pocahontas, IL, died April 4, 2018, at Faith Care Center in Highland, IL, surrounded by her family.
Sis was born on December 16, 1933, to Louis & Ethel (nee Ambuehl) Nungesser in Highland, IL. On February 14, 1953, she married Clarence Goestenkors at St. Nicholas Church, Pocahontas, IL.
Sis and her husband farmed and ran an excavating company west of Pocahontas.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved going to her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was a regular at the Grantfork Auction Barn and area garage sales.

Memorials may be made to the Shriners Childrens Hospital or St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
Private services will be held.
