      Shirley E. Hall, of Belleville, IL, died Friday, December 29, 2017 at Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her family.

      She was born in the sunny town of Green Cove Springs, FL to Neal and Myrtle (Nee Fountain) Smith.

      Shirley was always a hard working lady, and in 1995 she was encouraged by herself and her daughter, Rhonda, to introduce a new business to Belleville, IL. Shirley was the owner and daily operator of Attack-a-pest, termite and pest control company.

      The most important things to Shirley was her family and business. Her life revolved around her daughter and grandchildren. She loved to garden and care for plants. Feeding and observing hummingbirds was also one of her favorite past-times, along with cooking southern foods, playing golf, and watching football.

      Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Neal and Myrtle Smith; special friend, Ronald Hall; two sisters; four brothers.

      She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda (Herb) Patterson; grandchildren, Emily and Gabrielle Patterson; sisters, Eunice and June; along with many nieces and nephews.
