Marjory E. Norris, 96, of Lebanon, IL died Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Memorial Hospital East in Belleville.
Marjory was born September 18, 1920, to Robert and Opal (nee Combs) Stone in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. On July 19, 1942, she married Kenneth Norris in Gilman City, MO.
She was a member of the P.E.O., History Club, Delta Kappa Gamma, and American Pen Women. Marjory was everyone’s favorite teacher, kind and sweet. She worked together with her husband in all household chores, and volunteered many hours at her church. She loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Opal Stone; husband, Kenneth Norris; grandson, Luke Norris; brothers, Robert S. Stone, Archie Stone; sister, Miriam Lorimer.
She is survived by her children, Janet Kelly, Lebanon, IL, Anita Hittle, Ft Collins, CO, Julie (Craig) Burson, Tuttle, OK, Bruce (Laurie) Norris, Urbana, IL; grandchildren, Erin (Tom) Wentzien, Enid (Shane) Staten, Jessica (Julian) Marshall, Jocelyn (special friend, Javier Badell) Hittle, Eric Burson, Isaac Norris, Renee Norris, Destiny Norris; Great- Grandchildren, Collin & Torrin Wentzien, Sienna & Adam Staten, Abraham, Louisa & Ronen Marshall, Ella Badell.
Memorials may be made to 1st United Methodist Church.
Visitation: Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Meyer Funeral Home, Lebanon, IL and Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at 1st United Methodist Church, Lebanon, IL
