      Mary E. Siegel (nee Kohler), 92, of Lebanon, IL died Monday, April 26, 2010 at Columbia Convalescent Center, Columbia, IL.  She was born February 28, 1918 to Oliver and Dorothy (nee Hartwig)  Kohler, in St. Louis, MO.  On November 6, 1948 she married Omar Siegel in Lebanon, IL.

      When she was a young woman, Mary worked at the Langenberg Hat Factory in Lebanon, IL.  She was a member of VFW Auxiliary.  She went to church everyday.  She loved her family and friends, gardening, and feeding the birds.  She was a big St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.

      She is survived by: 1 son, Allen (Nancy) Siegel, Columbia, IL; 2 granddaughters, Angie (Chris) Loethen, Columbia, IL, and Ashley Siegel, Cape Girardeau, MO; 3 great grandsons, Brian, Brandon, and Brody Loethen.

      She is preceeded in death by her parents, and 1 brother, Erwin “Bud” Kohler.

      Memorials may be made to:  St. Joseph Cemetery, Hospice of Southern Illinois, or Prayer Shawl Ministry.

      Funeral Mass:  Thursday, April 29, 2010, 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Lebanon, IL.  Monsignor Jim Margason, officiating.

      Burial:  St. Joseph Cemetery, Lebanon, IL
