Diana Lee Ragsdale (Nee Hamilton), 63, of Pocahontas, IL, died Sunday, October 31, 2010, at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born January 4, 1947 to Charles William & Fay Eileen (Nee Carney) Hamilton, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Granite City, IL. On August 1, 1964 she married Paul Ragsdale at St. Mary’s Church in Madison, IL.
Diana worked for the then Laidlaw Bus Co. (now First Student), for 15 years as a Bus Monitor. The last 5 years she worked for the Highland Walmart. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Pierron, IL. She loved to bake, donating her baked goods to many charities around Highland.
She is survived by: Her Husband, Paul D. Ragsdale, Sr.; Her Mother, Fay Hamilton; 4 Children, Paul D. (Alicen) Ragsdale, Jr., Mettlerville, IL, Fay (Matthew) Lanter, Collinsville, IL, Amy (Paul) Davis, Weatherford, TX, Denise (Chad) Rapien, Pocahontas, IL; 12 Grandchildren, David, Lisa, Lyndsay, Olivia, Cody, Ryan, Haylee, Diana, Vanessa, Brent, Nick, Megan; 2 Great-Grandchildren, Curtis and Reece; 4 Sisters, Marilyn (Larry) Beyer, Charlene (Mike) Hyman, Marsha (Ronald) Mousette, Krisandra (Christopher) Hays.
She was preceded in death by: Her Father, Charles Hamilton.
Visitation: Tuesday, November 2, 2010, 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL.
Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, November 3, 2010, 10:00 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Church, Pierron, IL.
