Leola Lee Noland, nee Hobbs, 86 of Lebanon, IL  entered into eternal life at home with her family by her side Tuesday, August 14, 2007.

Mrs. Noland, born August 24, 1920, was a life-long resident of Lebanon.  She was an active member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Lebanon, for over 50 years. During that time, Leola served as President of the Women’s Guild and was a committee member for the UCC Meals on Wheels program. When asked what she was most proud of, Leola commented on her family and her 25 years teaching the three-year-olds at St Paul.  She and her husband Walter R. Noland were fondly remembered as generously rewarding the Sunday School children with many a Ritz cracker. After working at Famous-Barr in St. Louis, she assumed responsibilities for office managing the family Sinclair gasoline distributorship for many years. Later, Leola took on the full-time job of spoiling her family and grandchildren.

Mrs. Noland was preceded in death by her parents, Leo L. Hobbs and Flossie, nee Beck, Hobbs.

Surviving are her soul mate of 66 years, Walter "Robert" Noland, whom she married March 8, 1941; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Linda Noland of Lebanon, IL, and granddaughters, Katie Noland of Orlando, FL, and Leanne Noland of Champaign, IL; sister-in-law Edna Mae Noland of New Castle, IN; nieces and nephews, Patricia Noland of Lebanon, IL, Gail Peaslee nee Noland of New Castle, IN, Kathy Wurzel nee Noland of Atlanta, GA, Carol Andricks of Red Bud, IL, Janice Noland of Granite City, IL, David Tansik of Tucson, AZ, and Robert Tansik of Haifa, Israel, all of whom will cherish her warm spirit and kind heart.
