Glen O. Mueller, Sr., 79, of Pocahontas, IL, died Monday, October 4, 2010, at his residence.
He was born March 16, 1931, to Anton & Edna (Nee Steinkoenig) Mueller. On September 6, 1947 he married Wilma Hagler in Pigot, AR.
Glen was an avid deer and turkey hunter. He did a lot of trout fishing. He and his wife, Wilma, bought the old Phillips 66 service station in 1969. In 1976, they built the Tahoe Motel, retiring in 1994.
He is survived by: His Wife, Wilma Mueller, Pocahontas, IL; 5 Sons, Glen (Cheryl) Mueller, Jr., Greenville, IL, Dennis Mueller, Pocahontas, IL, Alan (special friend Donna Odle) Mueller, Waverly, IL, James Mueller, St. Louis, MO, Michael (Connie) Mueller, Pocahontas, IL; 4 Grandchildren, Mary Beth (Chris) Bauer, Timothy Mueller, Kortney (Kirby) Matthews, Ryan Mueller; 6 Great-Grandchildren, Alexandra, Kate, & Christian Bauer, Kolby, Isabella, & Olivia Mueller; 1 Sister, Norma Miller.
He was preceded in death by: His Parents, Anton & Edna Mueller; 1 Brother, Dale Mueller; 1 Sister, Bonnie Lou Gilomen.
Visitation: Wednesday, October 6, 2010, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., and 8:00 a.m. until time of service, at Meridith Funeral Home, Pocahontas, IL.
Funeral: Thursday, October 7, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., at Meridith Funeral Home.
