    Jeffery McNeilly, 42, of Highland, IL., born July 10, 1967, in St. Louis, MO., died on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at his home in Highland, IL.

    Mr. McNeilly was a service writer at LRE Automotive in Edwardsville, IL., and manager at McKay Auto Parts in Highland for 23 years. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Marine, IL.  Jeff liked to hunt and fish, duck hunting was his passion.  He bowled for many years in a league in Highland.  He loved spending time with family and his much loved Yorkies.  He loved NASCAR and baseball.

    Jeffery was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy McNeilly; and grandparents, George Lexow and Dorothy Lexow

    Surviving are his wife, Phyllis, nee Dare, McNeilly, whom he married on Aug. 3, 2001 in Edwardsville, IL.; father and step mother, Dennis and Joette McNeilly of Highland, IL. three step-daughters, Beth (Bryan) Heine of DeSoto, MO., Jennifer (fiance' Tim Wellen) Compton of Highland, IL., and Laura Compton of St. Louis, MO.; five  brothers and sisters, Sheri (fiance, Chris Arentsen) Schroetter of Trenton, IL., Scott (Lori) McNeilly of Mt. Vernon, IL., Mark (Lisa) McNeilly of Boston, MA., Lori Szegedy of Zionville, N.C., and Lori Kordick of Sarasota, FL.; three granddaughters, Katie, Samantha, and Sophie Heine; special niece, Jordan Schroetter, special nephew, Matthew McNeilly; and several nieces and nephews.

    Memorials may be made to the Jeff McNeilly Benefit Fund.

    Visitation:  Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday Nov. 9, 2009, at Meridith Funeral Home in Highland, and from 9 to 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Marine, IL.

    Funeral:  Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday Nov. 10, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Marine, IL., with the Rev. Charles A. Edwards officiating.

    Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Highland, IL.
