Charles R. Horner, 77, of Pocahontas, IL died Sunday, July 3, 2011 at Highland Healthcare Center, Highland, IL
Charles R. Horner was born February 4, 1934 to Jesse and Ethel (nee Marrs) Horner in E. St. Louis, IL. He married Joyce R. Mezo in E. St. Louis, IL on April 14, 1956.
Charles was a Car Salesman for Bo Beuchmann Ford for many years and retired from Tri Ford. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers - Clyde Horner, Peter Horner and 1 sister Gladys Bator.
Survived by his wife, Joyce Horner of Pocahontas; six children - Richard W. Horner, Ft. Worth, Texas; Cathy (Carl) Simmons, Mottsville, N.C.; Randy (Lori) Horner, Alhambra, IL; Bryan “Mooch” (Beth) Horner, Pocahontas; Toni Chote, St. Peters, MO; Butch Horner, St. Louis, MO; seven grandchildren, Austin, Ryan, Katie, Heath, Eric, Travis, & Kelsey.
Memorials may be offered to the family.
Visitation: Wednesday, July 6, 2011 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, July 7, from 8:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the Meridith Funeral Home, Pocahontas, IL
