Clothilda B. Pattberg (nee Haisler), 85, of Highland, IL, died Thursday, May 28, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Belleville, IL.
Clothilda was born January 18, 1930 to Frederick and Hildegarde (Nee Geiger) Haislar in St. Rose, IL. On January 21, 1947, she married Martin Pattberg in Highland, IL.
She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL. Born and reared between Highland and St. Rose, IL; at the age of 16 years she moved to Highland. She lived all her adult life in Highland other than one year when she and her husband lived in East Alton, IL. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking, and she and her husband made art on scrolled sawed logs. She raised and sold African Violet flowers.
Clothilda is survived by her 4 children. Sons, Howard W. (Mary) Pattberg of Sulphur Springs, TX and Joseph L. (Barbara) Pattberg of Ozark, AL; daughters, Shirley A. Frey of Aviston, IL and Elizabeth J. “Betty” (James) Schreckengast of Aviston, IL; 7 grandchildren,Tracy Frey, Scott Frey, Patrick Pattberg, Daniel (Ashton) Pattberg, Paul Pattberg, Jennifer (Mitch) Wells, Anna (Mike) Watson; 6 great grandchildren, Harry and Charlie Wells, Martin and Alexander Watson, Noah and Rory Pattberg, Colby Pattberg; 3 brothers, Anthony ”Tony” (Joyce) Haislar of Highland, IL, Frederick "Fritz" (Sally) Haislar of Highland, IL and Frances “Frank” Haislar of Salem, IL; 1 sister-in-law, Ramona Haisler, Highland, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Hildegarde Haislar; her husband, Martin Pattberg (05/20/1993); son in-law, David E. Frey (03/20/2006); 3 grandchildren, Jeffrey Pattberg, Mike Pattberg, Jason Foehner; 4 sisters, Mithilda Haislar (infant), Gertrude Haislar (8 years old), Lillian Marquardt (03/07/1986), Julianna C. Lange (05/20/1996); 3 brothers, Adolph J. Haislar (June 1992), Bernard Haislar (04/01/1959) and Lawrence Haislar (06/26/2009).
