Irene Clara Underwood (Nee Weil), 88, of Fairview Heights, IL, passed away on April 24, 2015, at her home.
She was born on March 6, 1927 to Oscar and Clara (Nee Perschbacher) Weil.
They say some angels walk amongst us, and those who knew her knew this to be true. Irene was loved by all who knew her. Her caring and giving nature stretched well beyond her family and friends. Her beautiful smile would brighten anyone’s day. She touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Ricky French; husbands, Jarvis French and Milton Underwood; parents, Oscar and Clara Weil; brothers, Everett “Bud” Weil, Harold Weil, Russell Weil, Oscar “Butz” Weil; sisters, Elsie Hock, Alice Radford; her loving dog Flood.
She leaves to cherish her memories, son, Randy C. French, 2 daughters, Renee C. Booth, Rhonda (Ivan) Ellis; 2 grandsons, Michael J. (Lori Vannoy) French and Cory G. Gabriel, Jr.; 4 granddaughters, Shera R. (Andrew Rader) Smith, Shenee A. Booth, Shayla I. Gabriel, Hayley (Billy) Schlueter; great-grandchildren, Nathan Trokey, Ryan Trokey, Braedon Trokey, Brooke French, Taylor French, Andrew Rader, Jr., Isabella Rader; her beloved dog, Roxy; and many more family members and friends.
