Robert F. “Bob” Winning, 56, of Highland, IL, died Thursday, January 2, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Bob was born August 4, 1957 to James and Margaret (Nee Foley) Winning, at St. Mary’s Hospital, East St. Louis, IL. On September 7, 1985 he married Marsha Linton at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, O’Fallon, IL.
He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, St. Rose, IL. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, Highland, IL and a former member of Highland Chamber of Commerce. His faith was the most important thing to him. He loved to watch his kids play sports. He would do anything for anyone. He was very funny, always making jokes. He was the owner of AAA Lawn Care in Highland, IL.
He is survived by his wife, Marsha Winning, Highland, IL; 3 sons, Adam Robert Winning, Cottleville, MO, Aaron James (Rachael) Winning, St. Charles, MO, Andrew Lee Winning, Highland, IL; half-brother of James L. Winning; uncle, Francis J. Foley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Margaret Winning.
Memorials may be made to St. Rose Catholic Church, Siteman Cancer Center, National Institute of Health or BJC Hospice.
Visitation: Monday, January 6, 2014, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and Tuesday, January 7, 2014, from 12:00 to 1:30 pm at Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL.
