    Guy W. Jahnssen, 72, of Greenville, IL, died Monday, October 7, 2013, at his residence, surrounded by his family.

    Guy was born December 4, 1940, to Frank Henry and Cornelia E. (nee Gillespie) Jahnssen, in Pocahontas, IL.  In March 1966, he married Carol Ann McClara in Donnellson, IL.

    He was a member of the First Apostolic Church in Greenville, Illinois.  He was a Farmer and worked in other agricultural areas during his lifetime.

    He is survived by his 5 children, Kim (Art) Garland, Modesto, IL, Anna (Bob) Zbinden, Greenville, IL, Nickie Barnhart, Litchfield, IL, Charles Jahnssen, Ina, IL, Suzanna (Kenneth) Turner, Greenville, IL; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Dean Jahnssen, John Sherman Jahnssen, Jack Jahnssen; and 1 sister, Charlotte (Bob) Byington.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Henry and Cornelia E. Jahnssen; first wife, Carol Jahnssen; 2nd wife, Cora Jahnssen; 1 daughter, Tina Hairston; 1 granddaughter; 1 brother, Lloyd Jahnssen.

    Memorials may be made to the Bond County Hospice or the Family.

    Visitation:  Friday, October 11, 2013, from 10:00-11:00 am at the First Apostolic Church, Greenville, IL.

    Funeral Service:  Friday, October 11, 2013, at 11:00 am at the First Apostolic Church, Greenville, IL.

    Interment:  Mt. Gilead Cemetery, near Greenville, IL.
