    Kevin Lee Seals, 68, of Bone Gap, IL passed away on April 9, 2025 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

    Kevin was born on March 23, 1957 to Thomas and Shirley (Billingsly) Seals. He married Nancy Durbin on June 28, 1985 in West Salem, IL. Kevin was an Associate at Toyota Logistics for 25 years until his retirement.

    Kevin was a member of The House of Prayer in Albion, IL. He was a former lay speaker for the First United Methodist Church. He was an avid reader, loved professional NBA basketball, especially the Lakers. He was a die-hard Cubs fan. He liked to run and take nature walks with his wife. He especially enjoyed family reunions and BBQ’s. Kevin enjoyed his family and his work family.

    Kevin underwent a double lung transplant surgery in 2015. Kevin’s family will always be grateful for Teresa, who was the donor of his transplanted lungs.

    Kevin is survived by his wife of 40 years, Nancy Seals; his fur baby Zeke; his sisters Linda (Carl) Aten, and Kathy (Eldon) Blythe; brothers Verdayne (Rita) Seals and Terry Seals.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Shirley; fur baby Samson; a brother, Dennis Seals; and brother in laws Ronald Campbell, Jannie Campbell, and Roger Durbin.

    Visitation for Kevin Seals will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ingram Meridith Funeral Home in Albion, IL.

    Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 19th at 11:00 a.m. at Ingram Meridith Funeral Home in Albion, IL, with burial to follow at Highland Cemetery in Mt. Carmel, IL.

    Memorials in the name of Kevin Seals can be made to Mid-America Transplant and will be accepted at the funeral home.

    Kevin was one of the nicest people I knew. He would do anything for others. I’m proud to say he was a dear friend of mine and Mark’s. He will be greatly missed. Sending love and prayers to his wife and family.

    So sorry to hear of Kevin’s passing. I remember the many times my parents took our family over to the Seal’s home for visits. All of the family treated us with respect and kindness. I remember Kevin being so nice and friendly and he will be missed greatly. May the Lord bless you and keep you during this time of mourning. We are sending our prayers to you.

    Kevin was such a good man who I was honored to mentor before & after transplant. He did everything right & worked so hard to honor his donor. He will be truly missed. He has left a legacy for all.
