Roberta (Bobby) Darlene Harris, 95, passed on October 8, 2024, at Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Grayville, Illinois.

She was born on October 27, 1928 in Cisne, Illinois to Robert Leo and Beulah (Etchison) Farmer. She married Ralph Harris Jr. on November 17, 1949 and they made their home in West Salem, Illinois. They enjoyed over 61 years of marriage until his death on May 6, 2010. They were blessed with four children.

Roberta worked at the Shoe Factory in Olney, Illinois and also at West Salem Shelter Care in West Salem, Illinois. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church of West Salem, Illinois and was a Sunday School teacher there, too. She was also a regular attender of the Moravian Church in West Salem, Illinois.

Roberta is survived by a daughter, Colleen (Tim) Gines of Browns, Illinois; 2 sons, Kenneth Harris of Evansville, Indiana and Ronald (Kimberlee) Harris of Arvada, Colorado. Roberta has 7 grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren to cherish her memory. A brother, Dean (Barb) Farmer of Arizona also survives.

Roberta was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a daughter, Brenda Darlene Baker.

Services for Roberta Harris will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024 with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Ingram Meridith Funeral Home in West Salem, Illinois. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow at the Macedonia Cemetery in rural West Salem, Illinois.

Those attending are asked to wear casual dress.

Ingram Meridith Funeral Home of West Salem is assisting the family with arrangements.

          Roberta and Jr were my Grandparents Charles and Inez Sutherland and we all went to Free Methodist Church in West Salem. Colleen,Kenny and Ronny were all like extended family
          I loved Roberta she was a good Christian woman and I loved her family.

          I’m so sorry for your loss of a great Mom!!!

          She was a special woman. Of course I knew all the children.i attended Free Methodist also. So sorry for your loss
