Jacob William Moudy, age 37, of West Salem, IL passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on May 15th, 2024. He was born on November 5th, 1986 in Olney, IL.
He was the father of two sweet girls: Katey and Jayda. In his life he accomplished two associate degrees in Machine Shop Technology, Industrial Technologies and Welding. He was recently employed at Toyota of Princeton, IN as a Skilled Team Member in Maintenance, a job he fought hard to obtain.
Jacob enjoyed more than anything spending time with his girls. Before becoming a Dad he liked to spend time with his friends riding 4 wheelers or horses. He was also a Ford truck fan. When he found the time he was also an avid fisherman and deer hunter.
Jacob (Jake) leaves behind two girls, Katey and Jayda. Surviving are his parents: Lori (Lomas) and Cary Moudy of Parkersburg; and a brother, Caleb Moudy. Also surviving are his uncle, Terry Moudy of Tennessee; his aunt Kim Carlson of West Salem with cousins Cary Michel and Carl Moudy, Andy and Jesse Northup.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Bill and Dianne Lomas, and his paternal grandparents Alwyn (Wisner) Lechner and Merle Moudy all of West Salem.
Burial is in Oak Hill Cemetery in Parkersburg, IL.
