Steven K. “Steve” Mueller, 69, of Lebanon, IL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at his home.
He was born on April 29, 1955, in Highland, IL, to James Ralph “Onion” and Frances Jean (nee Baer) Mueller.
Steve has lived in Lebanon his entire life, graduating from Lebanon High School in 1973, then attended a floral design school in Denver, CO. In his younger years, Steve enjoyed traveling, having gone to Europe with his high school class, then various trips to the East Coast with his close friends. He owned and operated Steven Mueller Florist in O’Fallon for over 35 years where his floral creativity made an impact on many people in his surrounding communities. Through his business, Steve was a member of the O’Fallon Chamber of Commerce. He enjoyed watching reruns of Parks and Recreation, The Office, Gilmore Girls, and above all else, he loved designing flowers. A dedicated, hardworking, and kind man, Steve will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Ralph “Onion” and Frances Jean Mueller.
Steve is survived by his brother, Don (Sharon) Mueller, Lebanon, IL; sister, Jan (Dave) Dougherty, Villa Park, IL; nephews, Adam (Alicia) Mueller, Daren Mueller, Josh (Rina) Dougherty; great nephew, Kayden Mueller; and a host of friends.
