Glenna J. Frankland, 99, peacefully passed on July 2, 2024, at Helia Health Care in Olney, Illinois. She was 6 days away from her 100th birthday.

She was born on July 8, 1924, in Ellery, Illinois, to Bert and Matilda (Pettigrew) Michels. Glenna married Earl Frankland Jr. in 1943 in Olney, Illinois. They were blessed with three sons.

She is survived by her sons, E. Gene (Diane) Frankland, Phil (Marilyn) Frankland, and Les (Faye) Frankland. She was also blessed with 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A sister, Jean Spann, also survives.

Glenna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl Frankland Jr.; two brothers, Bert Michels and Larry Michels; and three sisters Helen Wiles, Geneva Cowling, and Elizabeth Bowers.

Glenna was a faithful member of First Christian Church in Albion, Illinois. She was also a member of the Women’s Club in Albion. Most of all, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Services for Glenna J. Frankland will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024 with a visitation from 9:00 a.m to 10:00 a.m. at Ingram Meridith Funeral Home in Albion, Illinois. Graveside services will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Graceland Cemetery, east of Albion, Illinois.

Donations in memory of Glenna J. Frankland can be made to Edwards County Senior Citizens Center or any organization of the donor’s choice.

Ingram Meridith Funeral Home of Albion is assisting the family with arrangements.
