Ann (Freda) Parker peacefully passed away at 12:50 on June 18th, 2024 at her home with her loving husband and her precious dog by her side.
Ann was born January 28th, 1961 in Glasgow, Kentucky to Joyce Proctor and Tom Ford. She was primarily raised in southern Illinois by her mother and a caring step-father Ivan Harris. She continued to return to southern Illinois as an adult. Ann loved life and could fill a room with her presence.
She had many hobbies and liked to stay busy. She was a collector of all things and had many treasured collections. Her beloved collection was her family, including her children and grandchildren, as well as including all their friends that needed bonus family around. She enjoyed being outdoors camping, fishing and rock hunting. She loved movies and took her family to movies anytime she could. She particularly liked scary movies and enjoyed getting her own jump scare out of anyone she could. Her sense of humor is unforgettable to all that knew her. She loved to laugh and could get a laugh out of anyone. Throughout her all-too-short life, she held multiple jobs that many may remember her within including being an EMT, working in the emergency room or in physical therapy at the hospital or as being the phone lady with First Cellular.
Ann is survived by her husband, the love of her life, David of Albion, Illinois. Her siblings are Lesa Williams (Larry) of Olney, Illinois, Polly Kollack (Don) of Lancaster, Illinois, Marialana Dugger of West Salem, Illinois and Wade Ford (Susan) of Glasgow, Kentucky. Her children include Jason Burgener of St Louis, Missouri, Kacie Brown (Jay) of Olney, Illinois, Justin Hicks (Tracy Smith) of Albion, Illinois, Aimee Parker of Bakersfield, California, Dakoda Hulett of Olney, Illinois, and Austin Hulett (Ashley) of Crossville, Illinois. Grandchildren include Andrea, Kourtney and Camron Burgener; Gary (Rachel) and Mason Brown; Jett and Trenton Hicks, Liam and Laina Smith; Preston and Peyton Parker; Ava and Rowan Hulett; Cabella and Noah Dillback and Adalynn Hill.
Ann was preceded in her death by her parents, and sons Adam Hulett and Joshua Parker.
Ann’s remains will be cremated. Ann believed in being present during life, therefore services will be withheld at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to honor her with any memorials be made to an animal shelter in her name.
