      Michael Chad May, 54, of Marine, IL, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

      He was born on January 23, 1970, in Belleville, IL, to Charles “Chuck” and Betty (nee Ackerson) May.

      Chad has lived in Marine for 25 years, moving from Highland, and was a member of the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Highland, IL. He spent most of his career working on the railroad. Chad was a beloved son and brother and will be sorely missed.

      He is survived by his parents, Chuck and Betty May; brother, Kyle (Vicki) May; nephews, Brenden (Karigan O’Connell) May, Reese May; niece, Elisen May; great nephew, Greyson May; three aunts, an uncle, and many beloved cousins.

      Memorial donations may be made to Partners for Pets Humane Society, St. Jacob, IL

      Celebration of Life Luncheon: Sunday, April 28, 2024, from 12:00 to 4:00 pm, at the VFW Hall in Highland, IL

      Life taken too young, so many journeys left undone. No words can ever relieve the grief and sorrow of loss. Celebration of life to the person Chad was!
