I’m a nurse at the Villas of Holly Brook. It was truly an honour to take care of this beautiful lady and her family during her last days on this Earth . Dan and Fran , I thank you for the privilege! Wilma will be sadly missed but we know she’s now in the arms of our Lord and Saviour. Rest in peace, my dear sweet friend!

When I met Wilma Strine in 2001, she was a Godsend for the Strine & Girten families due to her exceptional love, caring specifically for her granddaughter, Erin. Wilma told me “the true stories” of her family’s lives and all about Jerry & Danny since they were young (Wilma asked me to ‘keep it a secret’). Wilma told me about her own mother, who was active, went shopping & played cards w/her friends. When I said to Wilma she was very much like my Grandmom, Wilma replied, “I’ll prove it”. And the very next day, Wilma brought to Dan & Frances’ house her own HOMEMADE Cucumber Salad. When I tasted the cucumber salad, I was Shocked!!! I told Wilma, “Your Cucumber Salad looks & tastes EXACTLY like the cucumber salad my own Grandmom makes & we all love it!”
My Grandmom & my entire family were keeping Erin in their prayers. My Grandmom had been saying the Rosary for Erin every day. I said to Wilma, “Wilma, you & Agnes are beloved Grandmoms for your grandchildren, most esp Erin, just like my own Grandmom, and you both show it by your daily, unseen actions for others – the Cucumber Salad proves it – you know secretly what to do for others. Wilma Strine was an exceptional, wonderful woman – what she told me, in secret, about Jerry & Danny, I will never forget & I will always remember it proved how much Wilma loved her boys with all of her heart.
