Gary Ray Vallette, 86, of Albion, Illinois passed away on Tuesday February 20, 2024. He was born November 2, 1937 in Albion, Illinois, to Wilbur and Kathleen Vallette. Gary married Lovell Leib on April 20, 1956 and she survives.

Gary will be remembered as a hard-working over the road truck driver for over 45 years. He was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, as well as the Teamsters, American Charlois Cattle Association, N.R.A., and the Edwards County Historical Association. He was always faithful in helping with the Avenue of Flags and was an avid reader and woodworker. He will be remembered as a loving Father, Grandfather and Great-grandfather.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, daughter-in-law Beverly Vallette, and his brother, Wilbur Dean Vallette.

He is survived by his wife; Lovell, two children; Toni (Dale) Satterfield and Kelley Vallette. Two sisters; Judy Johnson and Janice Hedrick, and a brother, Larry Vallette. He was blessed with six grandchildren; Tasha, Steven, Cerise, Kimberley, Selina and Katy; and eight great-grandchildren; Kaylie, Ashton, Tucker, Logan, Kylar, Quintin, Kalesi and Easton.

Memorials in the name of Gary Vallette can be given to Edwards County Historical Society.
