    Cheri L (Griesemer) Taylor, 67, of Olney, IL. formerly of Mt. Erie, IL. passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Carle Richland Hospital in Olney, IL.

    Cheri was born on January 23, 1957, in Lawrenceville, IL. to Omer and Gaye (Smith) Griesemer. She married Terry J. Taylor on July 22, 1989, in Mt. Erie, IL. and he survives.

    Cheri was a Homemaker and had also been a CNA. She enjoyed making wedding cakes for family and friends. She loved being outside, all kinds of animals and especially taking care of the horses. She attended the Nazarene Church in Mt. Erie and was active in 4-H for several years. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

    Cheri is survived by her husband Terry J. Taylor, daughter Mandi Pokojski, son Dustin Earnst; grandchildren Alec Pokojski, Nathaniel Pokojski, Skyler Dailey, Alexis Crazier, Acianna Earnst, Levi Earnst, Alyssa Earnst, Raylan Earnst, Ace Wollard, Doc Hollywood Woolard, Kiana Woolard, Jasmine Woolard, Maddison Earnst, Taylor Earnst and Tyler Earnst, and six great grandchildren; also surviving are two brothers Ken (Teria) Griesemer and Jonathan (Amanda) Griesemer.

    Preceding her in death were her parents, son Jesse Earnst, a daughter Nikita Turner, one great granddaughter Secerity Wollard, and a brother Donnie Griesemer.

    Visitation; Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home, Cisne IL.

    Funeral: Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 1:00pm at Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home, Cisne, IL.

    Burial: Will follow in Scott Cemetery near Mt. Erie.

    Memorials may be given to the family for expenses and will be accepted at the funeral home.

    Spent many of days at the Mt. Erie house growing up. Always loved you, grandma. Rest easy and peaceful.
