Leona Josephine Parizon, 95, of Marine, IL, died Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Hitz Memorial Home, Alhambra, IL.

She was born September 30, 1928, to John and Helen (Nee Lapinski) Forys, in Madison, IL.

Leona was a family woman and her greatest joy was spending time with them. She loved the comfort of her home, cleaning and working around the house. Leona also enjoyed going out to eat with her family and taking frequent van rides to Walmart. She was fond of her sweets; donuts and coffee especially. Leona had an expansive collection of owls and would watch for them often. Her favorite flowers were daisies because her husband used to go out and pick them for her.

She was preceded in death by her spouse, Louis Frank Parizon; parents, John and Helen Forys; brothers, Ed Forys, Gene Forys, and David Forys; sisters-in-law, Regina Forys and Lorraine Forys; brother-in-law, Joe Liszewski.

Leona is survived by her children, Carol (Fred) Glenn, Pocahontas, IL, Louie (Sue) Parizon, Marine, IL, Jim Parizon, Marine, IL, Jackie (Bruce) Ooton, Alhambra, IL; grandchildren, Sherry (Scott) Paolini and Aaron Parizon; great grandchildren, Kristen Stevens, Austin Woodson, Autumn Paolini, and Orion Paolini; sister, Mary Ann Liszewski; sister-in-law, Barb Forys.
