      Clifford Theodore Yarbrough, II, 75, of Collinsville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Memorial East Hospital in Shiloh, IL.

      He was born on January 31, 1948, in St. Louis, MO, to Clifford Theodore and Joan Mona (nee Brown) Yarbrough, Sr.

      Clifford was a United States Army Veteran who served during the Vietnam War. After serving his country Clifford worked for Orkin Pest Control for a number of years before his retirement. In his retirement he drove school buses for First Student, serving the CUSD 10 school district, which he absolutely loved. In his free time Clifford enjoyed restoring his ’72 Chevelle El Camino and taking it to the local car shows, as well as watching St. Louis Cardinals Baseball. He was a treasured father, grandfather, and friend and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Joan Yarbrough; and loving wife, Shirley Kay Yarbrough.

      Clifford is survived by his daughter, Kerrie Weilert and her fiancé, Derek Criss; grandchildren, Gage Weilert and wife, Kaitlyn, Lauren Weilert; and many loving friends.

      Memorials may be made to CUSD 10.

      He will be laid to rest at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

      There are no services at this time.

      You will be missed my dear friend not only by myself but by so many others. We always had a good time, whether a beer and a burger, horse races, Alton Belle, American Legion or just whatever. I will miss you. Your friend always and forever. Jackie O

      I’m so sorry for your loss. Cliff was a valued coworker and will be greatly missed. I hope you will be comforted by pleasant memories, as are we. My thoughts and prayers are with your entire family.

      Although I never met Cliff, I’m sure he will be missed very much by the many people who loved him. May he rest in peace and may his memory be a blessing.
