    Imogene Vera Galbraith, 97, of Cisne, IL. passed away Monday, September 4, 2023, at Cisne Rehabilitation & Health Care.

    Imogene was born February 3, 1926, to Johnice Gammon and Naomi (Wilton) Gammon at Wayne City, IL. She married Noel Galbraith on November 27, 1944, in Johnsonville, IL. He preceded her in death on July 3, 1999.

    Imogene was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, canning, taking care of her flowers, watching and feeding the birds also taking care of all the stray cats in town. If family came to visit her and could not find her at home, they knew she would probably be walking around town visiting people in the local business on the square. She enjoyed reading her Bible and attending church when her health allowed. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

    Imogene is survived by two daughters-in-law, Wanda Galbraith and June Galbraith; ten grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, twenty- eight great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild; two sisters Elsie Ray and Lena Shaw; several nieces and nephews also survive.

    Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, three sons, Eldon Lee Galbraith, Glenn Galbraith, and Aaron Galbraith, grandson Gary and great grandson Mason, brothers, Carl Gammon, Paul Gammon, Earl Gammon, Johnice Gammon Jr., and Leroy Gammon: a sister, Mary Shaw.

    Visitation: Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home.

    Funeral Services: Will be held Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

    Burial will follow in Cisne Cemetery.

    In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial donations be given in memory of Imogene, for a bench to be placed in Cisne Park. Donations will be accepted at the funeral home.
