    Keith W. Pope, 63, of Caseyville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at his home in Caseyville, IL.

    He was born on August 4, 1960, in East St. Louis, MO, to Lowel and Sharon (nee Strauss) Pope. He was a Field Medical Service Technician in the United States Navy from 1979 to 1983. After he served his country, he served his community as a respiratory therapist for 25 years until his retirement.

    Keith loved his children more than anything, he had always had such a big heart and was always there for anyone who needed him. He adored his grandchildren, one of his greatest joys in life was becoming a grandfather. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, collecting coins, and tending to his flowers in the garden. He was a treasured father, grandfather, brother, and friend and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Lowel and Sharon Pope; stepfather, John Mahn.

    Keith is survived by his children, Marcus (Krista Zipser) Pope, Courtney (Adam) Jackson; grandchild, Cree Pope, and another beautiful grandchild on the way; siblings, Mark Pope, Matthew Pope, Scott Burbank, Michael Pope, Tanya Pope, Matt Mahn; numerous nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.

    Memorials may be made to his children, Marcus Pope and Courtney Jackson.

    There are no services being held at this time.

    He is very much missed by us all!He was definitely a big part of all of our lives so many good times and so many memories.My heart especially goes out to Beth. The only other person that I can think that could miss him more would be Max .. so don’t worry Keith we will never let anything happen to your bestest buddy ever Max. We all know you loved him more than any of us not too many people know just how much he meant to you but we will make sure nothing happens to him and you will make sure nothing happens to us we miss you so much
