She was born November 16, 1937, to Cyril and Hazel Fultz, in East St. Louis, IL. On November 18, 1955, she married the love of her life, John Ralph Huff, Sr., in Washington Park, IL.

Shirley was a devoted mother of five children, dedicated to raising and caring for her family and tending to her husband’s medical needs prior to his passing.  Along with her family, God came first in her life, she read her bible every day and loved to meditate on His word and had a continued passion to share her Faith.

She was a member of a local gardening club and in her free time, Shirley enjoyed baking, painting, crafting, sewing, and selling her creations at local events. She was a staple in her community, volunteering at the local food pantries, visiting the Senior Center, or taking classes at the Collinsville Library.

Shirley came into my life after I lost my grandmother (Also named Shirley). I had lost faith in God for not healing my grandmother. Who always taught me about God and read me the Bible my whole life. But I was angry and lost. Until God led me to Shirley Huff 💛 She brought me back to where my grandmother had left off. I can never express the gratitude and pleasure that I got from being able to be with her for the couple years she allowed me to help her. But I will spend the rest of my life being grateful to have been blessed to be in her presence. She will never be forgotten. My deepest condolences to all those that loved and were loved by this amazing soul.
