Sarah L. Ferguson, 48, of St. Rose, IL, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at St. Louis University Hospital.

She was born in Belleville, IL, on April 2, 1974, to James Larry and Miriam Sue (nee Bunch) Frederick.

Sarah grew up in Collinsville, IL, graduating from Collinsville High School. She has lived in the Madison County area all her life before settling in St. Rose, IL. Having various hobbies, Sarah’s favorite things to do were gardening and taking care of her plants, sitting on her porch with a cup of coffee watching the birds, or riding her motorcycle.

Known for her loving and caring nature, Sarah was family oriented. A giving person, she always made sure to take care of the ones she loved. She adored spending time with her kids and especially her three grandbabies. Sarah was funny, always doing anything she could to make her grandbabies laugh. She had a curious mind, always wanting to know how everyone was doing and what was going on around her, while also being a great listener for whatever you had to say. She was a wonderful daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister who will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Miriam S. Frederick, and the father of her children, Wade G. Ferguson.

Sarah is survived by her father, James Larry Frederick; children, Olivia Tulgetske, Monroe Ferguson; grandchildren, Cassius Tulgetske, Casper Tulgetske, Payson Nowell; and brother, Marcus Frederick.

Memorial donations may be made to Special Olympics Illinois.

I am saddened and tearful to learn of Sarah’s passing. She was a good friend snd we shared many laughs. She adored her daughter and son and spoke of them often. I would have been at the service hsd I known sooner.. Sarah was full of life and lived it exactly as she wished with no regard for what others may think. She made life fun and lived for the moment. I will always cherish our fun/silly times. May she rest in peace for eternity..
