Claude C. Harris, 95, of O'Fallon, IL died December 18, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Belleville, IL. He was born in Lebanon, IL on May 4, 1913 to John and Ada (McDonnald) Harris, and they preceded him in death. He married Lela A. Ladd on October 20, 1934 at the Harris residence in Lebanon, IL and she also preceded him in death May 29, 2008.
He is survived by one daughter - Kathy Fritz (& friend and Caretaker to her father, Bob Pilkus) of O'Fallon, IL; one son, David L. (Donna) Harris - Phoeniz, AZ; Three grandchildren - Josh (Jessica) Fritz - Mascoutah, IL; Deanna (Alfredo Guzman) Anaheim, CA; Janice Harris - El Cajon, CA; Thirteen Great Grandchildren; One brother, Lester ""Doc"" (Elsie) Harris, Champaign, IL; One Sister, Shirley Briscoe, Mascoutah, IL; and a Special Friend and Caregiver - Sharon Walker, O'Fallon, IL and several Nieces and Nephews.
His Occupation was ""Top"" Foreman of Little Dog Mine in Gillespie, IL; Worked at Little Oak Mine Belleville, IL; Taught welding in Gillespie and retired from Gunlachs Co., as a welder. He was a member of Faith Church in Lebanon, IL.
VISITATION: Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008 at the Meyer Funeral Home from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
FUNERAL: Monday, Dec. 22, 2008 @ Faith Church, Lebanon, IL at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Don Morgan, Pastor officiating. Burial in College Hill Cemetery, Lebanon, IL
