    Thomas S. Wojcik, 52, of Belleville, IL, died Monday, January 23, 2017, in North Carolina. 

    Tom was born December 15, 1964, to Lawrence and Maria (nee Montanes De Grimal) Wojcik, in Madrid, Spain.  On July 30, 1983, he married Carol Anne Wilson and although she remained the love of his life, this marriage ended in divorce. 

    After high school, he enlisted in the Army and proudly served for 8 years.  Some of the awards he earned include Army Commendation Medal, with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Achievement Medal, with Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Good Conduct Medal, with Oak Leaf Clusters and M-16 Marksman Badge. 

    He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Mascoutah, IL.  He loved to bowl and roller skate.  He grew roses and gave the first one every year to his Mom.  Tom was always helping people.  He was very proud of his daughters—they always came first.

    He is survived by his Parents, Lawrence J. and Maria C. Wojcik, Lebanon, IL; Daughters, Joanna C. (Justin K.) Woods, Carrollton, TX, and Stephanie E. (Scott M.) Auer, High Ridge, MO; Grandchildren, Anna R. and Madison C.; Brothers, Lawrence C. (Terrie) Wojcik, Jr., Waldorf, MD, Donald P. Wojcik, Belleville, IL, Nicholas M. (Theresa) Wojcik, Moss, TN; two nieces and one nephew.

    He was preceded in death by a Brother, Robert A. Wojcik; Close family friend, VerLisa Hampton.

    Memorials:  Veterans Organization of Donor’s Choice.

    Visitation:  Monday, January 30, 2017, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at St. John’s United Church of Christ, Mascoutah, IL

    Funeral Service:  Monday, January 30, 2017, at 7:00 pm, at St. John’s United Church of Christ.

    Clergy:  Rev. Hugh Fitz, Pastor.

    Interment: Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at a later date.
