    Mr. Norman C. Hasenstab, 81, of Highland, IL, died Friday, June 30, 2017, at his residence surrounded by his family.

    Norman was born January 4, 1936, to Peter John and Anne (nee Schmittling) Hasenstab in Belleville, IL. On September 17, 1964, he married Mary Donnelly at Sacred Heart Church, Effingham, IL.

    Norm worked at Monsanto in St. Louis, MO for about 40 years as an Information Technology Programmer.

    He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, and the Knights of Columbus Council 1580 in Highland, IL. Norm loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved to fish, play pinochle, and watch Cardinal baseball. He was an avid golfer, who had a good sense of humor and was a very likeable person. He enjoyed helping people, volunteering and traveling. Norm was a generous, kind-hearted gentleman, who loved God and enjoyed praying the Rosary everyday.

    He is survived by his wife, Mary Hasenstab, Highland, IL; Daughters, Susan Elizabeth Rawdon, Collinsville, IL, and Judith Lynn (Chris) Sawyer, St. Johns, Florida; Grandchildren, Ashley and Andrew Rawdon, Hope, Josh, and Victoria Sloan Sawyer; nieces,nephews, cousins.

    He was preceded in death by his Parents, Peter John and Anne Hasenstab; Brother, Earl Hasenstab; Sisters, Charlotte Hasenstab (in childhood) and Ann Hasenstab (in infancy).

    Memorials may be made to the Society of Divine Word (Missionaries).

    Visitation: Wednesday, July 5, 2017, from 9:30 to 10:30 am, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL.

    Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, July 5, 2017, 10:30 am, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL.
