    Martha Parker (Nee Monroe), 70, of St. Jacob, IL, died Thursday, June 26, 2014, at St. Joseph Hospital, Highland, IL.

    Martha was born February 5, 1944, to Edward and Effie (Nee Meinhardt) Monroe, in Lebanon, IL.  On January 25, 1964, she married Jack Parker at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Lebanon, IL.

    She was a member of St. Jacob United Church of Christ, St. Jacob, IL.  When she was younger she liked to toe paint.  She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She loved to cook big dinners for a family gathering.  Always taking care of everyone else before taking care of herself.

    She is survived by her husband, Jack Parker; children, Angie (Tim) Lawson, Jack (Kelly) Parker, II, Eddie (Danielle) Parker; former son-in-law, Steve Pinkel; 9 grandchildren, Nicole (Scott) Baquet, Savannah Holmer, Chelsea (Joey Moore) Pinkel, Aaron (Danielle) Pinkel, Nicole Lawson, Cody Lawson, Brianna, Jacob and Kyndall Parker; 3 great-grandchildren, Lilyahna, Memphis and Julietta Pinkel; 1 sister, Pamela (Richard) Koshko; 1 brother, Gary (Deb) Monroe.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Effie Monroe; brothers, Junior, Sonny and Ralph Monroe; sisters, Mary Dontigney and Dorothy Hammond.

    Memorials may be made to the family.
